Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies results. Our servers do not retain a separate copy of those searches. When you send us a message, we receive the contents of that message and use them to respond.
Automatically Collected Data
Hosting systems create ordinary logs such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review this information in aggregate to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement where used.
How Data Is Used
We use the limited data to operate and repair the service, measure traffic, and improve the reference pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information held by a service. Texas Business & Commerce Code Chapter 541 is the state consumer-data privacy framework, but it is not a universal removal process for government records. Because we retain little data, we review the contact mailbox and applicable server logs when a request arrives. Use the Contact page to ask. A Texas state, county, or city record remains under the control of its custodian, so a request about that record belongs with the originating office.
Policy Changes
We will post revisions to this policy here. Continued use after a revision means you accept the revised policy.
